Hope
Eagerly awaiting, an “empty jar”,
Woven within the fabric of being,
Quiet longing for Truth,
Surety in that yet unseen.
Candlelight in total darkness,
Sacred potential unmasked,
Collective spirit anticipating,
Seeking unity with God.
Without Hope, we perish.

Seed Sown
Faith fragile as frost,
Formed by seed scattered
On fallow hard-packed ground.
Faith floundering,
Frittered away amidst rocky ground;
Roots grasping for nutrients.
Fledgling faith fallen,
Among thorns and thickets
Immobilizing immature seedlings of spirit.
Faith firmly rooted,
Time-tested by fire,
Freshly fed by rich fertile earth.
Each watered with celestial tears of patience.
