Companions

We reach out as we travel on the path of Life, the road ahead . . . uncertain, the time we share undetermined, uncontrollable. For a time our journeys have intertwined, the paths converged. At times veering off on our own tangents and alleys of growth. Other times remerging for strength and nourishment.

Our richness; our God. Our uniqueness; the strength we bring to each other. Our similarities; understanding and comfort. Our relationship; a growth producing tension of Love.

The uncertainty, the unknowable future, the always present fear and apprehension of the final parting. Will we allow it to deprive us of the nurturing and companionship as we journey. Can either grow to potential if we refuse?

Yes, God. We Accept. We join hands - we give, we receive, we share, and if we are very blessed . . . we will continue to journey together, travelers on the journey to Your Light, to Your understanding Love, and to Your Will; until our journeying together is through . . . or until eternity as You will and strengthen us to endure.

As for the time we Share, as for the growth and nourishment afforded, as for the vision of Christ in each other, we thank you, Lord. It will always be cherished. For embarking on a real journey with another we glimpse a facet of the face of God.
